If you need an automatic for your car rental in Belgrade, you won't have to look hard with us. Of the passenger cars in our fleet, only the Citroën C3 and the Volkswagen Golf 8 have a manual gearbox. Everything else is automatic, from the small Ford Fiesta to the Opel Frontera SUV, and the cheapest costs from €27 a day excluding VAT.
The automatic cars, with today's prices, are also on one page: automatic car rental in Belgrade.
Which automatic cars we have
- Class B automatic: Ford Fiesta (petrol, 2019) and Renault Clio (diesel, 2020). Small hatchbacks for town; the boot takes one large and one small suitcase.

- Class D: Škoda Octavia hybrid (2025 and 2026 models) and Peugeot 508 (petrol, 2021). The Octavia has the biggest boot of all our cars, with room for three large suitcases.

Every car has air conditioning. On the vehicles page you can show only cars with an automatic gearbox and see in the calendar which are free for your dates.
What an automatic costs in Belgrade
The price depends on the class and the number of days, and the whole rental is charged at the daily rate for its length. Prices exclude 20% VAT and were correct when this was written:
- Class B automatic: €55 for one day, €39 a day for two or three days, €33 for 7 to 10 days and €27 for 16 days or more.
- Class C plus: €65 for one day, €49 for two or three days, €42 for 7 to 10 days and €35 for 16 days or more.
- Class D: €70 for one day, €52 for two or three days and €45 for 7 to 10 days. For longer rentals we agree the price.
- Class E: €80 for one day, €70 for two or three days, €50 for 7 to 10 days and €40 for 16 days or more.
The rates for every rental length, including 4 to 6 and 11 to 15 days, are on the price list.
An automatic costs a little more than a manual. A manual Citroën C3 is €50 for one day, an automatic Ford Fiesta €55. Over a week the difference is €3 a day: €210 for the C3 against €231 for the Fiesta, excluding VAT.
Worked examples
- Ford Fiesta for four days: 4 × €35 = €140, or €168 with VAT.
- Škoda Octavia for a week: 7 × €45 = €315, or €378 with VAT.
- Opel Frontera for ten days: 10 × €50 = €500, or €600 with VAT.
These totals don't include fuel, the deposit or extras.
If you've never driven an automatic
Plenty of people who rent a car in Belgrade normally drive a manual. You get used to an automatic quickly; these are the differences that surprise people most:
- The selector has four main positions: P for park, R for reverse, N for neutral and D for drive. You move it from P into D or R with your foot on the brake.
- You work both the accelerator and the brake with your right foot, and the left one rests. If you're used to a clutch, your left foot may hit the brake out of habit and stop the car sharply.
- In D the car creeps forward as soon as you take your foot off the brake, so keep it on the brake in queues and car parks.
- Before you switch off and get out, put the selector in P.
- The Octavia and the Frontera are hybrids. Their engine can switch off when you stop or drive slowly, so the car goes quiet; that's not a fault.
If anything is unclear during the rental, support is available 24/7.
Rental conditions
Automatics come with the same conditions as every other car. The driver must be at least 21 and have held a driving licence for at least a year before pickup. You get the car with a full tank and bring it back full. A one-day rental includes 150 km, a two or three-day rental 150 km a day, and a long-term rental 5,000 km a month.
Pickup and return at Nikola Tesla Airport are free, and we can also bring the car to an address in Belgrade, for a delivery price we agree after you book. You send the booking without paying anything, pay for the rental and the deposit at pickup, by card or in cash, and can cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before pickup.
In summer and over holidays cars get booked up faster, so it's worth sending your booking early.
